our 2 new miniature baby potbelly pig pets...Sandy (born Oct. 2009) & Wrinkle (born Dec. 2009)...aren't they adorable? ...and quite irresistible
we picked them up on Sat. Jan 16th
check back soon for more piggy pictures...if they don't keep me too busy
That's me holding the 2 pigs in the car - just got home. Looking at the camera is Sandy, the older pig that used to squeal and grunt out of control. The other pig is Wrinkle, the one who squeals and goes berserk when his food gets to his mouth a few seconds too late.
Sandy standing in the litterbox. This was their first cage. It didn't work out - they need heavy duty cages/gates. The cage was too small for 2 pigs and too weak.
Sandy looking for food (all day). They love digging, burrowing, pushing, fighting, opening, smelling, and picking up stuff with their snouts - incredibly strong. Their snouts are soft and leathery.
Wrinkle hiding in the corner...
Sleeping peacefully...
Fighting to sit/sleep on my lap...Sandy pushing Wrinkle out of the way by burrowing!
Wrinkle looking for food (again).
Wrinkle nibbling at Sandy's harness while Sandy was trying to do her thing (maybe...sometimes they like playing in the litterbox...ewww...and eat the wood...sigh**). We are trying to harness train Sandy.

so adorable. thanks for sharing!
Definitely an unique choice for a pet! I'm still in awe that they stay miniature.
sophia said..his uncle's friend in china..bought a miniature piglet for his wife..ended up it is not a mini...but just a regular pig..so it got so big..they had to take it to the farm..but a week or so later..the farm informed them that the pig died..(probably they killed and ate the pig)..oh well..I guess..in china.."all" things can happen...
